Appointments as arbitrator or mediator are, in addition, subject to the applicable institutional rules (including, where relevant, the rules of the ICC, DIAC, SIAC, SCCA, ADCCAC, CRCICA, QICCA, WIPO, and other bodies with which Dr. Hussein is empanelled), the applicable arbitration or mediation agreement between the parties, and any disclosure or challenge procedure required under those rules or under the IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration, as applicable.

4. Confidentiality and Conflict Checks

Any information you submit through this Website for the purpose of a potential arbitrator or mediator appointment will be used solely to carry out the necessary conflict and independence checks and to assess availability. Submission of such information does not create any obligation on Dr. Hussein to accept the appointment, and does not, by itself, give rise to any duty of confidentiality beyond what is required by applicable law or institutional rules.
